When you’re here expect to be in a party type setting with different types of play going on in different areas of the house and yards. Vets should expect to help guide newbies when they see a major breach of protocol but only if it is a big no no. Element is run and owned by me. I make the decisions that effect Element and Element alone. Element is run in my HOME. This is the place I live therefore I must have clear rules and follow them. I have had this system in place from the beginning and it works for me, at this time. I have a list of rules posted and most folks have been very kind and followed them. When they are broken you will hear from me, as some may know. I handle things this way…..
Phase one: “Hello…” You have broken basic protocols, probably because your new and are learning and didn’t take time to read the rules. You will get an email from me explaining the issue. If it was very offensive I ask you to apologize to the offended person and we move on and forget it. Once.
Phase two: “Hey, I know you!” You have done it again? Or…. you have fucked up pretty bad but you have good intentions and you haven’t hurt anyone that didn’t ask you to so…. I think you probably need an Element party time out. Do classes and get some education then come back. Usually 3-6 months.
Phase three: “WTF? Its you again?” Or…. you are coming with a ton of baggage I just don’t have time for. Drama, gossip etc.. whatever your thing is, its not my thing so you are out of here. Gone. Later. Shown the door. Blocked. Gagged and all the other fetlife buttons I can check.

If I hear reports of someone who is creating chaos, has a bad rep, or just because I feel like it, I can and will ask for a letter of reference from you. This doesn’t happen that often, but it has. If you are trying to come to Element and I ask for a letter of reference and you can not give me one then you are not coming. My house, my rules.
Each group has their own set of standards but these are mine, along with more I may or may not add later. There is no group of leaders on an investigating committee or a government of bodies to police the scene. That’s ridiculous. Each group develops a system that works for them and counts on the family of leaders for support and advice. Many years of experience is gathered when the leaders get together but never has it or never will it be a collective Judge and Jury. Each group decides for themselves. Personally if all the leaders have heard about your chaos then that’s enough for me to ask for a reference letter or even block you until your shit gets straight.
I am very straight forward and have nothing to hide. Own your shit. We are all responsible for our own words and actions. Don’t do things you have to get out of and this memo shouldn’t have any affect on you.
